workshop: pinhole camera - Fatmeh Radwan Sleiman

This was my first picture. I was surprised; I couldn’t imagine I would really get a picture out of my box.

The second picture wasn’t a great success. In the beginning I didn’t know why, I thought it was because they all were moving, but than I understood that it was my camera that wasn’t well installed.
This was my first test with a bigger camera. I decided to photograph something simple, the street and a house, just to see if there would be something precise in the picture.
I wanted to make a self-portrait like all the others were doing. I stood there 3 min, and when I developed the picture, I laughed and was wondering, where is Fatmeh in this picture?
The next try was better. I finally had my self-portrait
Than I wanted to take a photograph of Nesreen, my friend. While she was posing for the photograph, Hassan came to stand with her. All around were laughing, because he didn’t understand what was going on.
I like pictures that are not very clear in which you don’t immediately understand what is on the picture.
[For this and the following series]
I decided to photograph people. Why? Because I wanted to.
