workshop: instability - junaid
I worked during this workshop on the portrait of a person versus the portrait of his reflection. I started by investigating the relationship of a person to his context by trying to read the impressions given by the person in the picture in relationship to the impressions given by his context.
The aesthetics of each portrait were also part of my search, I was trying to think through the portrait of lines, shadows, light and dark in a photographic composition. Finally, I was reading the relationship of the person as a surface in relationship to the space as a surface, in an attempt to make a third surface that is the picture.
