Smile despite old age and time. Abu Ra'ad was born in 1917 and his birth was registered in 1922. Notes from the interview with him -- "His experience is vast and he shares his reflections on his life and his strong attachment to the past and to the community that once was. He is " a mountain that cannot be shaken by the winds however small seeds can grow and become trees on its earth." His life is simple and there is an innocence attached to his past life of family, God, honesty and simplicity of caring for others."

Old fashioned traditional kitchen which although no longer in use, it is kept exactly as one would find it had they ventured into his home years ago. Abu Ra'ad keeps the items in the kitchen in the exact same spots as a remembrance and makes sure that no one ever rearranges or disturbs them. He wants these things that are attached to strong memories for him to be left in place.
