workshop: challenging media stereotypes 4 - tariqIn the morning at 7a I played with and took pictures of the children. The first exercise I did with the kids I took them out and we observed the role of all types of drivers. They showed me traffic signs, the lights, the tyres and everything that relates to drivers. They used a lot of imagination with the process. The second exercise I made the children divide into groups and then got them to do interviews with each other. The kids were in charge of coming up with their own questions. They were very happy to interview each other and to learn about each other. I was very happy to participate in this process with the kids because they saw me not as a teacher but as a friend also. We didn’t have differences between teacher and student since we were on the same level and doing the process together.
